This one's gonna be a little gross

so if you are tired of hearing about my nasal discharge, head on over to lolcatz http://icanhascheezburger.com/again and I’ll let you know when this blog gets back to recycling and sewing and exercise and stuff, ok?

I made it through yesterday’s full day of work ok. I was pretty tired by the time I got home and was actually huffing and puffing a little when I got off the subway. A friend of mine (who also had sinus surgery last week) reminded me that not getting enough air will do that. Right. Not enough oxygen=tired Cat.

I slept mostly well last night but was awakened several times by the sound of (sorry) mucous being sucked in and out of the upper passage of my nose. Yea that’s pretty, ain’t it? So annoying because I can’t blow my nose. The good news is that my right nostril, which up until now had been completely blocked, seems to have a little air going through as well. The left splint is still bugging me a bit. It’s not painful but I am aware of it (as opposed to the right one which I never feel). The raw spots on my cheeks (from the tape) have mostly healed up. My front teeth are still feeling funny. My lips are drying out—probably a combination of all the mouth breathing and the change in the weather. I’m feeling pretty out of breath today. Luckily my office mate is out today which means I will chat less at work so I’ll have my breath for customer calls. No pain today so I have not even taken a Tylenol.

I’m really looking forward to my 8:30am appointment tomorrow with Dr. Godin to have these splints removed! Not only do I want to see what it’s like to breathe through my whole nose, but I really want to get all this gunk out of my nose! More graphic details tomorrow but if you are curious about how big those splints are, watch this !
