Influence

Last week I met with the building supervisor for the building where I work to clarify the building's recycling guidelines. I then sent an email out to our staff with the information.

Yesterday, one of my coworkers says to me "I brought in some plastics that can be recycled here but that aren't recycled at home. You know, I have the recycling flyer taped up to my cabinet at home but last night is the first time I read it. I'm ashamed to say that I've been throwing stuff in my recycling bin that doesn't get recycled!"

It's nice to know I've educated at least one coworker and that she is instituting changes to keep more items out of the landfill both at home and at work!
